The main idea of this design was to ensure the openness of the mansion’s interior space to the hill slope with picturesque green plantations to the east of the site. We wanted to prevent visual contact with the surrounding ecclectic houses and it was accomplished by solving the master plan. The mansion is located as close to the green hill as possible, and invites it into its interior through extensive glazing. The mansion has a flat roof, which offers a panorama of the forest. All facades and terraces are clad in thermally modified wood, which emphasizes the overall composition of the house. The project has been awarded the Voluta prize by the NUUA.
