The conceptual idea of this project is the tactful placement of the volume of the sports complex into the surrounding park area. The building’s roof is designed as a wide inclined ramp, which is a continuation of the park with greenery and pedestrian paths, thus compensating for the green area of the park used for the construction of the complex. The green roof solves the issue of cooling the building during summer, whereas in winter it reduces the heating costs. The central element of the complex is an ice rink for hockey and figure skating. The project has been awarded a NUUA diploma.
